Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot
Named after the great Sufi mystic Hassan Al-Basri, who inspired so many to seek God.
He is a very independent bird (he chose me to adopt him) with a short temper in the springtime;
he prefers walking to flying and is very affectionate to other Amazons (and some people).
He loves receiving affection from people and can't stand to be ignored; he can sing opera, if peoperly inspired.
In general, however, shouting "hello" and a little screaming works justs as well to get attention.

Named after the Sultan of Islam who repelled the Third Crusade.
A courageous bird who loves to fly, dance and perch on high places, and keep people company;
A good listener who sits on your shoulder, a great talker, an accomplished whistler & composer of tunes;
An intelligent bird, who has learned the language and customs of Amazons. He very much enjoys telling Hassan " Shut up."
