Saint Louis Priory School is a 7-12, all boys, accelerated, Catholic school in the Benedictine tradition, with an integrated, liberal arts approach to the curriculum.

The Mission of Saint Louis Priory School clearly states that we seek to provide a college preparatory education of the highest excellence. Accordingly, we present an educational program in the liberal arts tradition which prepares young men for admission to distinguished colleges and universities and enables them to undertake their continuing studies with success. Such a program imparts the intellectual skills and the habits of inquiry, study and reflection which characterize the educated man. It challenges each student to discover and to develop his unique set of talents, and stimulates in him an intellectual curiosity and independence of thought.

This is simply not possible without a Faculty of the highest caliber; one that is thoroughly capable of wise instruction and deeply committed to careful attention to each student.

Available Positions

We are extremely proud of our Faculty, over 88% of whom have graduate degrees, including numerous doctorates. Most faculty members have multiple roles to fill in the school and several have degrees in more than one field.

In short, this is a talented, energetic and devoted group of men and women.

When we hire faculty members, we look for energetic individuals who like being around young men (we are an all boys school) and who want to be involved in all aspects of their learning. It is not necessary for a candidate to be "certified" or even to be on a "certification" track, since we are primarily interested in competency in the field(s) where such an individual would teach. We are also very interested in teachers who have the desire and the ability to coach.

Faculty competency is a necessity since our students are academically very able. The average senior scores about 1300 combined on the verbal and quantitative portions of the SAT, and slightly above 30 composite on the ACT. 100% of our students undertake college-level work in their last two years at Priory. About 75% of the graduates in any given year are admitted to the "Most Competitive" and "Highly Competitive" colleges and universities in the country. Teaching them is exciting, demanding and a great deal of fun.

Saint Louis Abbey and Saint Louis Priory School are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons without regard to race, color, gender, religion, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, genetic information, veteran status, or disability.
