Schedule a Visit

The best way to see what it would be like to be a Priory student is to experience it firsthand and come to visit during a school day.

You can spend a half day on campus, shadowing one of our current students and taking part in assemblies, classes, club periods, lunch, and anything else happening at Priory on the day of your visit. It will also be a chance to meet our students and interact with faculty. Our goal is for students who visit Priory to feel welcome as they engage with our wonderful community of students, teachers, and staff and to learn about the academic, spiritual, athletic and social aspects of our school. You will be in good hands!

Half-day visits are open to current 5th or 6th graders applying to 7th grade and current 7th graders applying to 8th grade. Full-day visits are open to current 8th graders applying to 9th grade, or transfer students. A shadow visit is a required part of our application process and usually takes place in the fall. Students are welcome to visit Priory even before submitting an application.

Please note: Registration for campus visits for 2019-20 will open on Aug. 30, 2019

Planning Your Visit Day

Priory welcomes visitors on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We do not have shadow visits on Thursdays.

Day of Week Typical Visit Start Time Morning Begins With
Monday 7:45 am Student Council Assembly
Tuesday 7:45 am Tutoria
Wednesday 7:45 am Prayer Assembly
Friday 7:45 am Mass

Half-day visits will typically end at either 11:45 a.m. or 12:30 p.m., depending on the number of classes the student visits, how many visitors we have on a given day, and whether the student’s admissions interview is scheduled to follow the visit. Here is a link to the 2019-2020 Priory School Calendar. Please note the days we are not in session when planning your visit. If there is a student at Priory who you would like to be your visit host, just let us know! We will do our best to pair you with the student for your visit.

Dress Code

Our students follow a dress code, but we do not have a uniform. On Fridays or special occasions, Priory students will be in a coat and tie. On all other days, students will be wearing slacks and a collared shirt.

Parents are welcome to schedule a tour or meeting with one of our Admissions team members during the visit, or at another time that works. Tours take about an hour.

We want students and families to have the opportunity to learn as much as possible about Priory during the application process. We conduct an interview with each applicant and his parent or parents. The interview is a chance for us to learn a little more about the student, but also for our families and students to ask questions and discover what Priory has to offer. Often, students choose to schedule an interview on the same day that they are visiting. The interview is a meeting with the student, his parent or parents, and a Priory faculty or Admissions team member. You are not required to schedule your interview on the same day as the shadow visit, but it can be convenient to do it this way. Interviews take about thirty minutes.

Interview Scheduling

On the day of a shadow visit, the best time to schedule the interview is either at 11:45 a.m. or at 12:30 p.m. We can also schedule a morning interview if necessary to accommodate parent schedules. Please let us know when you complete our visit form or by phone or email if you would like to schedule the interview on the same day as your visit.
