As you may know, earlier this spring Priory was slated to hold the Priory Day of Giving. It was obviously not the right time for us to forge ahead with a 24-hour giving day. After much thought and guidance from alumni, parents and friends, we have rescheduled the Priory Day of Giving to Wednesday, June 17.

Over the past three years, we have raised in excess of $100,000 annually on our Day of Giving to support the Priory Fund. The Priory Fund, along with the proceeds from Xanadu, provide 14% of the school’s operating budget each year. It supports tuition assistance, technology, athletics, student activities and much more. Now more than ever we need to keep the Priory Fund strong. The economic impact of COVID-19 to some of our families has been devastating, and we continue to receive requests for additional tuition assistance. This school year we provided $2.1 million in assistance and we anticipate providing $2.3 million in 2020-2021.

Last year 14% of Priory alumni made a gift to support the school. The national Catholic High School average is 18% and SLUH and MICDS are both at 26%. We tell you this as we know our alumni are PROUD of Priory and the young men that walk through its doors.

Great news is we have had several alumni and friends step up and make gifts totaling $50,000 as a matching incentive for that day. Please help us unlock that match by making a donation, every gift no matter the size helps us reach that goal!

We hope you will partner with us on June 17 in support of the Priory Fund. You can make your gift online at www.priory.org/DOG or on Venmo @STLPriory. If you wish to make a gift through your donor advised fund, please reach out to Janice Bailey at jbailey@priory.org or 314.434.0783.
