Visual Arts
Studio Art at Priory is an environment in which students develop their observation skills and flex their imaginations.
Consistent with our College Preparatory curriculum, boys complete projects found in College level studio courses:
- Linear perspective as young 7th graders
- Modular sculpture as 10th graders
- Creative Thesis exhibitions as 12th graders
Such work requires the boys’ sustained attention and cultivates a tolerance for working hard at something at which they may not feel innately skilled. Studio Art projects reward effort, tenacity, and curiosity.
Another important element of the Visual Arts program at Priory is our unique Medieval Arts program, which teaches calligraphy, stained glass and mosaics.
