The Power of Prayer

We know that Priory students are working hard in an academically challenging environment that is developing their full potential, but we also seek to train them in habits of faith and prayer.

Classes often begin with a prayer, every Wednesday we gather as an entire school for a prayer assembly, and every Friday we gather for Holy Mass, which is the greatest prayer humans possess.

By the time he graduates, each student has had ample opportunity to learn to “raise the heart and mind to God,” as St. John Damascene defines prayer, and we hope these habits will grow and develop for a lifetime.

Whatever good work you begin to do, beg God with most earnest prayer to perfect it.

St. Benedict, Rule Prologue 4
