Dr. Flanigan's Ebola Presentation
On Tuesday morning, Dr. Timothy Flanigan gave a presentation to the student body entitled, "Faith and Fear in the Ebola Crisis." He talked about his experiences in Africa helping local aid workers and first responders fight the Ebola epidemic.
After the presentation, Dr. Flanigan spent the day on campus and visited several classes to give more details of his experiences and answer questions.
"Dr. Flanigan's visit to our school was a remarkable opportunity for our students to learn directly of the challenges faced by the people of West Africa in this Ebola crisis," Father Gregory said after the presentation. "But, beyond that, Dr. Flanigan gave us a powerful witness of a committed Catholic, who followed God's call and put his life on the line for some of the poorest among us. It was an inspiring encounter. We thank Dr. Flanigan for his time with us, and assure him of our prayers for him, his work, and all his intentions."
