Guest Speaker, Oct. 7
On Wednesday, Oct. 7, we will welcome Bridget Van Means to speak to the Priory community. Bridget is the president of Thrive St. Louis, a Pregnancy Resource Center that since 1983 has been helping women with unplanned pregnancies choose life for their unborn children. We are excited to have her speak to us about her work with Thrive.
The schedule on Wednesday will be slightly altered to accommodate the event. The High School and Junior School will still meet in advisory at 8:00, but instead of heading to the Church, all students will head to the Kevin Kline Theatre. The speaker will talk from 8:15-8:45. First period will begin at 8:51 and the rest of the day will be on a Tuesday/Thursday bell schedule with a Wednesday class schedule. Dress code for the guest speaker is coat and tie.
On Friday October 9, one of Thrive’s Mobile Medical Centers (MMC) will be parked in the Circle in front of the High School during the last two periods before the High School lunch. During those class periods, students in theology classes will have the opporunity to take a 10-minute tour of the facility (check with your teacher for details). The MMC will remain at the Circle till the end of the lunch break for any high school students who would like to visit it.
