Guest Speaker: Paul Jacobs, '03
Priory is pleased to announce that alumnus Paul Jacobs, class of 2003, is returning to Priory on Friday, Jan. 20, to speak with students. Paul participated in the ROTC program at the University of Notre Dame, earning a BS in Aerospace Engineering, before going on to earn his MS in Systems Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School. He’s been a test analyst for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Chief Engineer at NATO, all while serving as an Astronautical Development Engineer in the United States Air Force. He then earned an MBA from Duke University, and is now a Product Manager at Google, living and working in San Francisco, Calif.
Computer Science teacher Andrew Erker ’11 reached out to Paul and asked him to Skype with his 7th graders learning about Google Apps. Paul was excited about the idea, and told his boss. The next thing they knew, Paul had a flight scheduled and was preparing to visit Priory in person. He will now speak to the Junior School in the morning, and address Forms V and VI during 5th Period, sharing his life experience and talking about how Priory prepared him for college and beyond.
