National Multiple Sclerosis Society Volunteer Opportunities
Diana Post, volunteer coordinator for the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, shares...
We are looking for volunteers for our Sunday, April 17, 2016 Walk MS at Forest Park.
Interested volunteers can register for any of the Walk MS events listed by going to gatewaymswalk.org and signing up to volunteer. They will be contacted by email before the event with specific instructions about what to do on the day of the event.
We are also looking for volunteers for our Challenge Walk MS. our 2 day, 50K experience. Volunteers have a variety of opportunities from set up to finish line cheering. This event will be held at the St. Charles Community College in Cottleville, MO on Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th.
Those interested can go directly to gatewaymschallenge.org to register to volunteer. Students can volunteer for one day or both days. We are looking to make the participants’ event experience a special one this year by recruiting school bands to welcome them at the finish line from their 21 mile walk on day one and the 10 mile walk on day two.
Most importantly, these opportunities are open to anyone, students, teachers, parents, families and friends. We would like to see lots of volunteers come and enjoy these events.
We cannot have these events without the help of our volunteers.
The funds that are received at these events will help those individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis stay independent as we move closer to a cure.
They can also contact me directly by email at Diana.firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 314.446.4179.
