New Year's Message from Father Gregory
The new year has begun, school has resumed, and the festival days of holy Christmas are fading into memory. It is a time for all of us to turn our gaze forward and look to the future. Our faith tells us that the future is something we can hope in, because it contains the promise of the fulfillment of all God has in store for us. The future opens possibilities for us to grow together as a community, and for us to work to build a better world. Each of us, in his or her own way, has a role to play in this coming year to achieve this, so let us ask God’s inspiration and guidance, that we as individuals and as communities may respond to the Holy Spirit, day-in and day-out, so that at the beginning of the next New Year, we may be able to look back with gratitude and satisfaction.
Remember us, O God;
from age to age be our comforter.
You have given us the wonder of time,
blessings in days and nights, seasons and years.
Bless your children at the turning of the year
and fill the months ahead with the bright hope
that is ours in the coming of Christ.
You are our God, living and reigning, forever and ever. AMEN.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
