Priory Chorus To Perform with St. Louis Metro Singers
For the last few years the music students at Priory have done a joint Christmas concert with the St. Louis Metro Singers at St. Anselm. This year the tradition will continue on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. St. Louis Metro Singers is a volunteer civic chorus that performs several concerts a year throughout the St. Louis area. They graciously invite our boys to sing with them, giving them the great experience of singing with a large choir and orchestra. Mrs. Stephanie Allee, Priory’s vocal music teacher, is pianist for this group and said, “I can tell you that I have heard members say many times that this is one of their favorite concerts. They enjoy singing in the church and they love hearing the students at Priory.”
The concert is free and open to the public, so please invite your family and friends to come and support our students. You will get to hear the boys sing some pieces by themselves, some choruses from Vivaldi’s Gloria, a fabulous orchestra, and many beautiful Christmas pieces chosen by St. Louis Metro Singers director Mark Marting, Priory’s former vocal music teacher.
