Priory's new outdoor banners are a first in the U.S.
On Tuesday, Priory became the first school in the United States to install banner signs coated with nanotechnology that cleans the air. Senior Jake Drysdale's business venture, Nanotech Smart Signs™, coated the signs and is the only company in the world coating and selling signs with this nanotechnology. Special thanks to Father Gregory for his leadership in completing the project and to Mrs. Zlatic, Mr. Fitzgerald, and Priory's maintenance team for coordinating and hanging these signs!
Jake was the winner of last year's 30-Day Entrepreneurship challenge with the business model for the signs.
Priory's 12 Nanotech Smart Signs are calculated to reduce air pollution each year equivalent to the amount produced by more than 1000 car trips between Priory and the Starbucks 1.3 miles away. The signs work by accelerating the natural process of photocatalytic oxidation.
