I would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to all who donated, volunteered, raised paddles and attended Xanadu 2017. Our “Red Carpet” evening was an award-winning success thanks to the dazzling Section Chairs, scores of volunteers and our phenomenal Priory family. It was fantastic to see it all come together, and I hope everyone had a great time. From the Preview Party, to the wildly successful Fund-a-Need, to the exhilarating Live Auction, there was non-stop action, all for a worthy cause. What could be more important than the education of our boys? I can't wait to share the grand total at the Mothers’ Club Spring Luncheon in April!

My dear friends,
Another Xanadu has come and gone! It is always an amazing experience to witness the gathering of so many in the Abbey and Priory School community, from so many different segments of our ‘family:’ parents and students, alumni and alumni parents, monks, teachers and support staff, friends, neighbors and members of Saint Anselm Parish. It is an evening that celebrates our communion with one another, as well as our mutual commitment to work on behalf of the young men who are at the heart of our School.
I first started attending Xanadu in 1970, and each year demonstrates the incredible dedication and “good zeal” (as Saint Benedict puts it) of so many generous volunteers and donors. I would be remiss not to mention by name Kristina Hanley, who led this year’s effort as Xanadu Chair. Thank you, Kristina, and all those whose tireless efforts made this wonderful occasion possible!
May I close with words from Saint Paul, that capture for me what is at the heart of all we do at Priory:
This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father, from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name: Out of His infinite glory, may he give you the power through His Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth, until, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God. Glory be to Him, whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more that we can ask or imagine; glory be to Him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen!
May God richly bless you all! LAUS TIBI DOMINE!
