Next week is Spirit Week!

This week is meant to be a time that we can come together as an entire Priory community to celebrate our resilience and determination this term. In the face of so many obstacles and adversity, both ordinary and extraordinary, our community has persevered in carrying on the traditions that make Priory special: our commitment to truth, our dedication to excellence, and our care for one another.

To celebrate our community, STUCO has decided on the following fun themes for dress each day:

  • Monday: Pajama Day! Roll out of the weekend staying casual in your (appropriate) sleep wear.
  • Tuesday: Suits & Shorts! Stay formal on the top and casual on the bottom.
  • Wednesday: Lumberjack at the Beach. Wear your best flannel and/or tropical attire.
  • Thursday: Priory Spirit! Please wear the 2020 homecoming shirt (available for sale during lunch in both the high school and junior school lobbies on Monday) or another Priory shirt.

In the spirit of community-building, we ask that you refrain from wearing anything that is explicitly or implicitly political next week. We want to focus next week on what unites us as a community — not on what divides us. If you cannot dress in theme, come in the regular dress code. Anybody violating this spirit in their apparel — especially by wearing political apparel — will be asked to change into regular dress code.

As part of Spirit Week, we also want to celebrate our community’s generosity, so on Wednesday, Nov. 4, we’re going to have a blood drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Corley Gym. Any student older than 16 can sign up with their STUCO representative or walk in. If you are 16 and want to donate, please have your parents fill out the consent form we emailed out on Friday. Everybody who donates needs to bring an ID and know the last 4 digits of their social security number.

Monday is also the official launch of our canned food drive! Proceeds this year will benefit Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. We are accepting any non-perishable food items until Monday, Nov. 23. Please give generously!

Let’s celebrate Priory!
