Dear Friends,

In just a few hours, the celebration of the Sacred Triduum will begin. I hope that you may enter fully into the drama of these coming days—to walk with Jesus through the Last Supper, his betrayal in Gethsemane, his torture at the hands of enemies, and his death on the cross. There is no better way to know the Lord (or oneself) than to make this time a spiritual pilgrimage.

At the Abbey, we offer the full liturgical celebrations of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. We would love to share these mysteries with you. No matter your plans, know that you will be in our prayers as we journey with Jesus through sin and death to newness of life. As St. Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, “Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.”  That is the message of Holy Week and Easter, and I look forward to celebrating it with you.

In the weeks after Easter, there will be even more good news to share: the progress of our strategic pan, information about our incoming 7th grade class, the timing for access to our new facilities, and details about fresh student opportunities for 2023-2024. It is a tribute to God, to my colleagues, and to you that there will be so much good news to share.

For now, may the Lord bless us all as we mark these holy days.

In Christ,

Father Cuthbert Elliott, O.S.B., '02
