For the safety of all those attending graduation please note the following:

  • Anyone who is experiencing new or unexplained symptoms associated with COVID-19 should NOT attend. Per the CDC, COVID-19 symptoms include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
  • If you reside with someone or have had significant exposure to someone who has symptoms, is awaiting test results, or who has received a positive test result in the last 14 days for COVID-19, do NOT attend.

If you think or you know you had COVID-19 with symptoms, you can attend the graduation ceremony if:

  • You have been without fever for 24 hours without taking a fever-reducing medication and
  • Symptoms have improved and
  • At least ten (10) days have passed since the symptoms began.
  • If you tested positive for COVID-19 but had no symptoms, you may attend the graduation ceremony after ten (10) days have passed since the test or if you receive two negative test results in a row, at least 24 hours apart.

It is important to remember that the CDC and St. Louis County Department of Public Health advises anyone who has close contact with someone with COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days after exposure based on the time it takes to develop symptoms. This includes people who previously had COVID-19 and people who have taken an antibody test and have antibodies to the virus.
