Update: Our earlier communication in regard to locker cleanout has been replaced by the following:

Dear Students and Parents,

As the week has unfolded, we have continued to pray for all of you and hope that all members of the Priory community are doing what they can to take care of themselves and their loved ones during this time of great need.

We have continued to follow the information regarding the spread of COVID-19. Based upon the most recent data from local and federal healthcare agencies, the school leadership has determined that it is best to close campus as soon as possible to all community members. As such, next week’s locker clean out has been canceled. Only faculty and staff will be permitted to be on campus through Sunday evening at which point the campus will be closed indefinitely. We will continue to monitor the situation and may reschedule the pick-up of books and materials at a later date. Our faculty will begin to adjust their Distance Learning Plans to include source material that is accessible for all students, regardless of whether they have their books and notes from school.

For those of you who indicated a need for laptops, our IT department should have them available by the end of the weekend. We will reach out to you separately about how we intend to distribute these devices.

On Thursday and Friday of next week, the faculty will begin to reach out to your sons to commence their remote learning; we imagine that it will be much like the first days of school for all of us as we make additional adjustments in our learning plans. Please know that we and they will be flexible as we launch this platform.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns and we will do our best to get those answered as quickly as possible. We recognize that with the constantly changing COVID-19 situation around the world, this is an unprecedented time for everyone — a time that, for many, is filled with uncertainty for your sons. We want you to know that our commitment is to not only educate your sons through this ordeal but also be a community that they can depend on.

Be safe and know that we will continue to adapt our plans and prioritize our community’s health over everything else.  Saint Benedict: pray for us.

In peace,

Mrs. Judy Mohan
