Greetings,

On Monday, I was reminded of the wintry blast of '82 and the 25 inches of snow that blanketed the St. Louis Metropolitan area. There was no question of our going anywhere, so we settled into a week of walking in the middle of the street, digging out our cars, making runways so that we could get in and out of our parking spots, and breaking in our pinball machine. To this day, I play a pretty mean game of pinball, probably because of that snowstorm. Pinball aside, it strikes me that every once in a while it’s good for us to slow the pace and lean back instead of leaning forward. While this snowstorm created some pretty major inconveniences, it also provided us with a brief moment of rest.

As we make the turn into the Spring Term, it will soon be time to register for classes for the 2021-22 school year. For the first time, we will be able to offer you and your sons an online registration process. It should provide us with a more streamlined process that also assists us in scheduling your sons in elective and honors classes. More information about this process and the timelines will be coming out within the next two weeks. Please check your emails as the Technology Department and I roll out this process.

With the beginning of Lent, we are all given the opportunity to return with new vigor to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. For me, it’s a time of introspection and renewal in preparation for the Triduum. I’m hoping this message finds you safe and recovering from the weather blast of this week.

In peace,
