With just a few days before we begin the Triduum, the school community celebrated another important feast day, that of St. Benedict. On Wednesday, we marked the beginning of our first annual celebration with a prayer led by Abbot Gregory, followed by the unveiling of The Guild’s stained glass window, which features the Priory Ravens logo. Over thirty artists, under the direction of Mrs. Mary Claire MacDonald, modeled their artwork after the Millennial windows by including monks, the Abbey church, and Brother Symeon, their mentor. Later in the day we enjoyed a picnic-style lunch and some pretty spirited Spikeball competitions on Switzer House lawn. At the end of the day, the Administration treated the community to pretzels from Pretzel Boys. What a way for us to welcome Spring. This might seem a bit corny – but it felt so normal.
In closing, I wish you and your families a very peaceful and blessed Easter.
