Notes and Reminders from Mrs. Mohan — Dec. 3, 2021

For me, Advent has almost always been a season of joyful anticipation. Not only for the pre-Christmas bustle, but more importantly for the time to slow down as the daylight hours shorten as we embrace opportunities to reflect and pray — and to enjoy the company of our family and friends.

I have also enjoyed the enthusiasm of our students as they competed with Viz for bragging rights about the success of the food drive and awaited the Viz-Priory Dance, the Immaculate Conception holiday, and our two-week Christmas Break.

Of course, as the academic administrator in the building, we’re also looking forward, and that’s also a part of this season as we begin to put together calendars for the upcoming year, review curriculum and course offerings, and make plans for the future. Below is a list of important upcoming events. We will share a planning calendar for 2022-2023 with you right after the New Year.

  • Wednesday, Dec. 8 — Feast of the Immaculate Conception, School Closed
  • Wednesday, Dec. 15, 7 p.m. — For our 8th grade parents, we invite you to join us for our Form II High School Night (please see the email from Mr. Mitchom with details)
  • Friday, Dec. 17 — Christmas Break begins at 3 p.m. (coaches will advise High School athletes regarding practice schedules that afternoon)

Wishing you and your family many blessings,

Judy Mohan
