An exciting message from Abbot Gregory!
It is with great joy and deep gratitude that I write to share important news about the future leadership of Saint Louis Priory School.
After a thoughtful and prayerful process, the monks of Saint Louis Abbey have selected Mr. Joshua Dixon as the next Headmaster of Saint Louis Priory School, effective January 4, 2027.
Many of you already know Josh through his years of dedicated service to Priory. Since joining our community in 2022, he has distinguished himself not only as an exceptional educator and administrator, but also as a man deeply committed to the mission and values that define Priory.
His leadership has reflected a genuine love for our students, a respect for our Benedictine tradition, and a clear understanding of the unique formation that a Priory education provides.
Josh’s journey to Priory has been both rich and distinctive. Before entering education, he studied in a seminary and later served in a multi-dimensional role at a Liverpool Catholic public school. He also taught religion, conducted school choirs, and directed school productions. Beyond the classroom, he has remained active in his faith and community, serving as a parish lector and as a soccer coach for many years.
Academically, Josh holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Theology from the University of Oxford, as well as a philosophy degree from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome.
During his time at Priory, Josh has served in several important leadership roles. He began as Form Master for Form II and later became Director of the Lower Forms, where he helped strengthen our transition program for younger students and fostered meaningful connections between older and younger boys. He also launched the “Forma” program, which has supported students in grades 7–9 in developing healthy habits and strong character.
Please join me in congratulating Josh as he prepares for this new chapter. I ask you to keep him, and all of Priory, in your prayers during this time of transition.
